Association schedules 2010 National Angus Conference and Tour Sept. 15-17.
Mark your calendar and make plans to attend the 2010 National Angus Conference & Tour Sept. 15-17 in Bozeman, Mont. The American Angus Association is planning the event in conjunction with the South Montana Angus Association, and Purina Mills LLC is a major partner in this year’s event.
A welcome reception will kick off the event Tuesday, Sept. 14; and the Conference begins Wednesday morning, Sept. 15, at the Best Western GranTree Inn in Bozeman. A slate of industry experts will address the opportunities and challenges facing today’s beef producers. The tour will begin later in the day with an evening meal at KG Ranch, Three Forks.

Two full days of tours are planned in the region on Thursday and Friday. Stops include Hyline Angus, Bozeman; Armstrong Angus Ranch, Cardwell; Wheeler Mountain Ranch, Whitehall; Split Diamond Ranch, Whitehall; Van Dyke Angus Ranch; Manhattan; the Montana State University Animal Bioscience Lab, Bozeman; Leachman Angus Ranch, Toston; and Sitz Angus Ranch, Harrison. In addition, several other producers will be displaying cattle at the scheduled stops.
The South Montana Angus Association will host a golf tournament Wednesday morning preceding the conference. The tournament begins at 9 a.m. at the Bridger Creek Golf Course, Bozeman.
Registration is $125 if received by Aug. 13; after that, it increases to $150. Registration includes bus transportation, meals and materials. Attendees should make their own hotel reservations.
